Adam Mermelstein is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Treetop Development, LLC. Founded in 2005, Treetop Development, LLC, immediately began developing a number of successful and prominent multi-family buildings in key neighborhood in and around Manhattan. With the impending downturn of the real estate industry, in 2008, Mr. Mermelstein and his long-time friend and business partner, Azi Mandel decided to make a dramatic shift in Treetop’s focus from development to the value add, opportunistic rental market. In addition, Treetop owns and manages an affordable housing portfolio in excess of 8,000 apartments, and over 1.5MM square feet of industrial space throughout New Jersey.
Mr. Mermelstein specializes in the research and acquisition of new properties. Thanks to his keen understanding of property redevelopment, he has the ability to discover opportunities where others may see a lost cause or a hopeless property. Mr. Mermelstein’s vision allows him to uncover opportunity even in the most unlikely assets.

Mr. Mermelstein works closely with asset managers and local property managers to ensure that every asset is being administered properly and profitably. With a strong understanding of management operations, Mr. Mermelstein has an excellent ability to scrub expenses, add line items for revenue, and create a strong net income. At the same time, Mr. Mermelstein never sacrifices on the human element, and is continuously in touch with the needs of his tenants.
